Summer Fun - 2/14/2010
I've spent many summers in OC since the 1970s. It's a wonderful family town...a dry town! No alcohol sales, no bars!
Long boardwalk with 2 amusement parks, a water park, and many interesting stores and attractions. Events on the boardwalk all summer like art shows, music festivals, etc...
Beaches have been extended in recent years...less beach erosion as there was in the 80s. Area has many places for boating and fishing.
A safe place;I always feel safe walking around the city at night.

I have summered or lived in Ocean City, NJ since I was born 41 years ago. Change, change, change is the common theme in this city. One constant is safe, family fun! The houses are in the millions...in fact I would not be able to afford buying my own. I am fortunate of my real estate investment. The boardwalk is great for kids and adults. It's a great place to create memories. There are affordable places on the island, you just have to find them. It doesn't matter if you stay in a "dumpy" place because there is not a bad neighborhood anywhere on the island. You will not spend much time in your rental anyhow.
